Would it? Well, my daddy always said, 'hope in one hand, piss in the other and see which one fills up first'. Or was that 'wish in one hand'. Anyway...
Not only do I think bobo is, but I think you are too, Harkonnen. And a couple others 'round here.
Your little group just works too hard, too relentlessly and too ANGRILY at shaming people into getting the vax, even when its none of your damn business what anybody does. You do it like its your job. I think it very well may be.
There's just no other explanation.
And guess what? I think what is despicable is people that would shame other people, people who are merely looking for answers and are skeptical from being lied to again and again, into possibly endangering themselves, their families, and quite possibly future human beings on this earth.
I'm not sure which is more despicable, though. Somebody who does it for money, or somebody who does it to win arguments on the internet for free.
So tell me, Harkonnen.
Which kind of despicable are you?
Stop acting like you care for this guy's health. If you did, you wouldn't be encouraging him to take a fake vaccine that not only doesn't work, by your god Fauci's own admission, but has unknown short and long-term effects.
The faux concern is faux.
The anti-covid vaxxers are the good guys in this scenario. The lies and misinformation come from the vaxxers pushing the mysterious, experimental, fake Chinese devil's brew. And they (you) are the bad guys.
As noted yesterday, COVID-19 threads have a significant signal to noise ratio.
There’s enough information out there for each person to make a data informed decision.
But at the end of the day, it is each person’s decision. And FReepers need to accept that - and move on.
Some of the worst offending issues are 1) mask wearing and 2) vaccines. Good grief, people. Don’t get so wrapped around the axle that others don’t see COVID-19 issues the same as you or make the same decision as you. Provide references for your positions and argue as politely as possible. That’s all you can do.
Complicates the process maybe? They were doing one shot every 5 minutes last Wednesday at a Walgreen’s/Duane Reade.
“If you think FDC (FDA) is promoting scams then you shouldn’t have any problems securing a multi-million dollar settlement.”
Would you care to take a guess as to how much has been paid out in settlements on drug injury/deaths? It’s not in the millions its now in the billions.
The Special Vaccine Court alone has paid out $4 billion since it was created over so called “safe” FDA Approved vaccines.
Do I think they are promoting scams? The evidence speaks for itself. Res ipsa loquitur.
“...Stop acting like you care for this guy’s health. If you did, you wouldn’t be encouraging him to take a fake vaccine that not only doesn’t work...”

I don’t personally know him but I DO care about his health... and THAT apparently angers the hell out of you. And the mRNA vaccines are NOT fake but are safe and effective as proven by large scale clinical trials as well as smaller studies. And when that proven safety and efficacy is pointed out by someone —- THAT angers you. Sadly, you have only your lies and sarcasm on your side. And, for that, I PITY YOU.
I’ve used 3% hydrogen peroxide from the pharmacy shelf to clean wounds and as a mouthwash for any mouth sores or painful teeth, for many years (careful not to swallow any, and I rinse after).
My Grandma poured some in my ear one time for an earache, and it worked like a charm.

Sorry, but pointing out deliberate lies does not equate to “ANGRILY ... shaming people into getting the vac”. And my work has never had a thing to do with the pharmaceutical industry either directly or indirectly.
“...Had I known about the nebulized hydrogen peroxide then she probably would not have been sick in the first place.”

Before I had my Moderna doses, I kept my immunity up with the standard mix of supplements mentioned by many here (D3, Zinc, etc.). As a matter of fact I continue to keep that regimen up. Also I kept this:
around in case anyone in my household ever came down with COVID-19. Off hand, I can’t even remember what it was supposed to do... either kill the virus or prevent the virus from penetrating cells.
With those risk factors, COVID could well kill you.
It is still circulating. My friend inVirginia got it two weeks back - 60 years old, fit triathlete. He was down hard for a few days, and then in the ER with full blown pneumonia. He qualified for the Regeneron, and that turned it around, next day. Still says he’s only 80%. He is now encouraging our circle of friends to get vaccinated.
My other friend Upstate NY checked on his neighbor with COVID, which might have saved his life, because he needed an ambulance to intensive care. Just in the last few days.
Although the incidence of COVID should drop off sharply in the next 1-3 months, it will likely not go extinct. Rather it is likely to remain as a low incidence endemic disease. The risk of contracting it and dying, is not going to go away for someone with your risk factors. Vaccination provides strong protection.
I had my first Pfizer this morning. No noticeable side effect yet (10 hours)
Throwing personal slurs is a low tactic, that reflects discredit on the person hurling it.
It (ad hominem) is a classic logical fallacy - one of the most common.
Be better.
P.S. No, I don’t work for, or have any financial interest in any pharmaceutical company.
So you just act like it.
Noted.

“I took my first Pfizer shot today”
Ha!
Just saw a study that found the Pfizer shots was a little bit less bothersome to people than the Moderna shots.
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2778441
Interesting study- lots of people signed up to report their experiences with the vaccinations.
If you’re over 50 you definitely are wise to get the shot.
I’m seeing my doc this week and he’ll probably give me one.
Pfizer was just the first available to me - I would have taken any.
A few hours after my first shot (today), my belly felt unwell - despite my having had three ice creams and most of a basket of Easter candy...
Other than that, no symptoms at all.
There was some trepidation before getting it, but relief afterward.
I am planning to just lay up the rest of the day, after the second shot
...despite my having had three ice creams and most of a basket of Easter candy...
p.s. I think I know your comorbidity.
Update: My Moderna COVID-19 shots’ reactions:
1st shot: After a few hours, slight arm soreness that lasted for maybe 3 days. It seemed to shift location “in and out” one cycle. That was about it.
2nd shot:
No immediate reaction.
Approx. 4 hours later, a headache began to develop, eventually turning in the evening / night into a fever that felt worse than it measured (I never got more than 1 deg. over my normal), somewhat of a “fuzzy” feeling and mentally, but not really physically exhausted — almost classic “lack of sleep the night before” symptoms. Well, I DID stay up too late - part of a super busy “day before” trying to get things out of the way in case the vaccine put me in bed a day or two.) Slight arm soreness began several hours in, but was not bad when I hit the sack the 1st night after the shot.
The next morning I felt great, even energized, with no headache or fever at all. The arm was very sore though: I went through a couple days where the discomfort was not too bad if I didn’t try to raise the “shot” arm above horizontal, but from horizontal on up, well, it was not a good idea. However, lifting (as long as not up to horizontal) was not a problem. The swelling was quite noticeable, but not gross or extreme. The effect (both pain and swelling) seemed to be greatest in the lower front of the deltoid muscle. The “energized” feeling continued for a couple days.
From 72 hours afterward, on, the arm soreness gradually diminished. Everything else seemed normal / no other symptoms.
I’m now 6 days past getting my 2nd shot. (148 hours, to be exact). “The arm” seemed slightly sore again when I 1st got up today, but, that’s not unusual and it went away - I probably just slept in a slightly bad position for it. It now feels no different than my other arm, ie., normal for a slightly older fellow. Other than pollen allergies starting to kick in (also normal for me in early April) I seem to be fine.

Good grief, people. Don’t get so wrapped around the axle that others don’t see COVID-19 issues the same as you or make the same decision as you.
Unfortunately, there are FReepers on both sides that seem to not only disagree with the “other sides” but also antagonize. A flame war erupts, rendering the thread essentially useless.
Provide references for your positions and argue as politely as possible.
That’s all you can do.
