Thousands of reports every year are made to the FAA. I was on short final one night and had some idiot point a green laser at the plexiglass canopy of my aircraft. It was completely blinding. Good thing the county Sheriff is always at this airport and saw the laser and moved in. By the time I parked, the guy was in handcuffs. He "resisted arrest" and took one hell of a beating.
"The FAA reported 6,852 laser incidents in 2020, up from 6,136 in 2019. This is the highest reported number of incidents since 2016."

I did not see the Fox News story posted at 4:50pm EST when I said
“Along with throwing acid in faces.” in my post earlier today. I just made it up.
The LATER story said a criminal threw “a chemical” into an officer’s face and then threw a lit Molotov Cocktail at a second squad car later.

When my ancestors came to the USA, they Americanized their names to fit in. Would be nice if more recent atrivals would consider that. Worse, many (most?) blacks de-Americanize their names.

I have never seen a green laser used for plumbing a wall or doing suspended acoustical ceilings. They are all red. But of course, that is only my experience.
