I didn’t vote for Trump in the primary the first time around but voted for him twice for president and am glad I did. I don’t see anyone on the horizon that would do a better job, or even close to it. I voted for Rand Paul in the first primary in 2016 even though he had pulled out a week or so earlier because his politics were and are closest to mine and I wasn’t sold on President Trump yet. Truth is “they” would have chewed Paul or any other real conservative alive. I’m glad the GOPe are coming out of the shadows, let them leave the party or be removed by the voters.
This is the assessment of a Bush League Republican? Trump got more done in 1 term than “W” every did in 8 years, so who is really the loser here?

How could a supposedly-republican politician possibly benefit from needlessly alienating him/ herself from the party and the vast majority of its voters?
