SAN JOSE — Authorities are trying to determine the motive for a mass shooting that left eight people dead Wednesday morning at a Valley Transportation Authority rail yard in San Jose. The gunman, who worked there and had some kind of workplace dispute, also is dead.
Details about the gunman and the attack are beginning to emerge.
He was identified by sources as Samuel Cassidy, 57, a maintenance worker at the VTA.
Sources said the suspect is believed to have killed himself after the mass shooting.
Early indications are that the shooting was related to a workplace issue, according to law enforcement sources.
Cassidy had worked at the light rail yard for at least eight years, according to public records. According to a law enforcement source, Cassidy shot virtually everyone on the morning shift, including some he had worked with for years. The shooting may have occurred during a union meeting, sources said...

I’ll go out on a limb and sY that he didn’t use an AR. Could be wrong but I’m thinking that if he used one that is the only thing we’d be hearing.

What this man did, the shooter, was very wrong. He may have had a beef with his fellow workers but you don’t solve it by shooting them and others at the workplace.
He could have asked supervision to work another shift or at a job in another part of the shop as it was a very large workplace. He must have been angry and nuts but didn’t show it enough to give warning that he was dangerous.
Biden and the antigun Democrats want to use incidents like this to take away guns from we honest and lawful gun owners. Even with gun and knife bans in other countries, bad people kill numbers of innocent people. Gun bans are what want to be dictators use to take control.
Someone was not happy. Bet a cup of coffee he had workplace disputes going back a long time and then he just detonated.

And now we’ll hear cries from gun-grabbers, on top of all national flags being flown at half mast. If Biden keeps insisting on it for every negative event, it loses all meaning. 9/11 made sense - that was a massive mess. But here in Chiraq, shootings happen all the time. We can’t normalize this lowering of the flag to half mast. It’s disrespectful.
