At least 20 years ago, a white actor bought the rights to “The King and I” because he wanted to star in it. He was cancelled so hard by the left, he shelved the project. Acting is all about portraying something you are not. But the king had to be portrayed by an Asian?
I remember the 1956 version with Yul Brynner and Deborah Kerr, but not this one. Yul Brynner was a great actor
