A massive ship carrying a new, giant crane to the Port of Oakland made narrow passages under the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge this morning and is heading for the Ben E. Nutter Terminal.
The Zhen Hua 26 from China is 764 feet long, just a tad shorter than San Francisco's iconic Transamerica Pyramid. The crane stands more than 300 feet tall on the ship, and the crew made preparations to allow the crane to fit under the bridges on its final leg from China.

A Chinese ship carrying a Chinese manufactured crane traveled under the Chinese fabricated Bay Bridge to go to the Port of Oakland to unload Chinese products. Sounds like a win win to me. Just not for the United States.

That was my first thought, too. Except I forgot about the Chinese steel in the new Bay Bridge section. The photo shows the crane going under the old SF-YBI section.

“Red”? Push-leeze!
The color of the bridge is an orange vermilion officially called “International Orange.”

Not sure where you were going with this. My favorite Chinese restaurants are on Mott and Bayard.

A Chinese built crane for a Chinese run port in Chinese owned Fornicalia.

It might surprise you to know that one of our big exports is metallurgical grade coal so that the Chinese can make the steel the export back to us.
To: Red Badger
That is a picture of the SF Bay Bridge, not the Golden Gate bridge.

Then the title is misleading........................

Except I forgot about the Chinese steel in the new Bay Bridge section. That can be blamed entirely on the US contractor, who went cheap to cover the cost of kickbacks to Democrats necessary to win the project.
