If you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you don’t need a booster shot to protect against the Delta variant, the US government says.
The CDC and the FDA teamed up to issue a reassuring statement after Pfizer announced it was developing a booster shot against what is now the country’s dominant strain.
The Thursday evening press release said inoculated Americans were “protected from severe disease and death, including from the variants currently circulating the country.”

It’s like Catowner said, I’m sure they’re just saying this now so more will take the shots right now. They are scared that not enough people have taken it for some reason. It’s almost as if they’re scared of some kind of consequence for something.
I really doubt anyone taking these shots will have to wait real long to go see Jesus based on a lot of doctors blowing the whistles. Many are giving up their incomes and careers to warn us. Why would they do that if it wasn’t serious?

Jane, you ignorant….. oh, never mind that. With the possibility of rare exceptions, those of us on Free Republic who believe in the general efficacy and safety of Trump’s mRNA vaccines do not believe in mandatory vaccinations but believe instead in PERSONAL CHOICE. Because I believe in these vaccines’ effectiveness does not mean I believe in the effectiveness of masks because I don’t. Masks are ineffective against the viruses that cause COVID-19 and actually are unhealthy for both adults and children. I don’t believe in mandatory masking of schoolchildren. I don’t believe in school closures.
I believe the only thing that will bring the final end of this pandemic is herd immunity. EVERY VACCINATION and EVERY COVID-19 INFECTION makes our herd immunity stronger in the US. So yes, more vaccinations are good. And COVID-19 infections of healthy young people brings them individual immunity upon their recovery and, in that sense, that also is good. Once a person has individual immunity either through full vaccination or natural infection they DO NOT NEED A SHOT TO BOOST THAT IMMUNITY, IMHO.
