A 5-year-old Georgia boy with no underlying health conditions died of COVID-19 last week, a report said.
Wyatt Gibson, from the city of Calhoun, lost his life after a short battle with the illness at a hospital across the border in Chattanooga, Tennessee, relatives told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“In a way, I know that you’re still here, but I miss you so damn much!” the child’s heartbroken father, Wes Gibson, wrote on Facebook. “I have lost my best friend.”
The father and his infant sister have also contracted coronavirus, Wyatt’s godmother, Amanda Summey, told the newspaper.
Wyatt’s death comes as COVID-19 cases have again surged across the nation. The spike is being fueled by the more infectious Delta variant and a slowdown in vaccinations.

The exception that proves (stresses) the rule. A tragic case, but no reason to keep masking children, having them take an experimental vaccine, or be prohibited from attending a brick and mortar school (although government-run schools also are child abuse).
It is sad but we need to remember the common flu kills more children than this China Virus and it isn’t even close.
This happens every flu season. Now it’s being reported for political and economic reasons.

Sounds like a call to lock down again and mask up. I mean if it can take out a 5 yr old, it can take out anyone. Sorry to the relatives of the youngsters. Will this be a major header on all the lame stream that’s already calling for masks and mandatory vax and lockdown if we really need it by not complying voluntarily?

Any death of a Kindergartner is tragic, but this is an incident, not a trend.

But what is also sad is that every death -- especially the sad ones -- that can possibly be attributed to the communist chinese virus is going to be not just reported, but headlined as part of the Democrat/communist/Left's very effective strategy to keep the level of fear, distrust and anger among ignorant Americans at a fever pitch. It's true.

Very sad and very rare.
About a month before Covid19 became a household word, a child I know became extremely ill and was lifeflighted to a children’s hospital and put in PICU. She was in intensive care for a week. It was very scary. We thought after the fact that it was the Wuflu since she never had a flu diagnosis. But we don’t know that. Anywho, she almost died. She was ashen and her fingers and toes were changing color. Thankfully, she came through it though her lungs are scarred for life.
