Read my lips: We’re not going back to masks and lockdowns again

Are we really doing this again? Are we really talking about returning to masking? Again?

Last weekend, Los Angeles County reinstituted its mask mandate for indoor settings. More than 60 percent of the county is fully vaccinated, but the mandate applies to both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.

The move is absurd in several ways. For starters, it throws shade on the vaccines. If vaccination works, why do the vaccinated need to be masked? And if we do still need to be masked post-vaccine, why would anyone take the jabs? The vaccinated are protected, and the unvaccinated have had enough time to get vaccinated. We have to move on.

My wife works at a university and last year was devastating financially for them. The administration essentially locked the students down in the dorms. If you were an athlete you got to go to practice like a prison Trustee lol! The sad part was these students paid the college $35K a year lock them in dorms all year, and had the mask nazi’s out in force.

Students and employees were encouraged to snitch on anyone not wearing a mask. One particular VP was known as the Rat Bastard of one particular building for his snitching-he is an attorney, enough said. That being said my wife caught him without a mask on once, amazingly he never rated her out...

With the cases on the rise an email is circulating with the senior administration people and some are wanting to lock down again. My wife’s supervisor showed her the email, he is a big wheel in senior administration and asked my wife what do you think will happen? She told him bluntly if they do this we will be closing the college within two years because none of the other local private colleges did this to their students even last year. She then told him that our son gets free tuition because she works there and that if they do this even though he would lose his baseball scholarship he would transfer to one of the other schools on their tuition exchange program. Paying to be locked up in a dorm is stupid.

She also told him that she would hate it but would probably have to start looking for another job because the school will fold in next three years. He knows the finance/business side which she is in and said I agree with everything you said, I don’t know how this will turn out...
