It’s always been that way. Gulf of Mexico hurricanes have been a thing since before the USA was born.
We were very lucky after 2005 to have very few for almost 15 years.

If you had sent that ridiculously huge graphic to me, I would have a strong urge to hurt you. With large graphics, best to post a downsized smaller version which is also an active link to the ridiculously large version. See above body of thread for multiple examples.

I flew back to SJU from TPA yesterday as the “PTC” was approaching the island. The day before I had my doubts if I would be able to get back in, which I needed to do urgently after two weeks off island.
But it was a total non-event here. Maybe just a welcome distraction from all the government Covid grandstanding turned into the usual hurricane season grandstanding.
