“met with quite the blowback from elitists and Hollywoodites”

Yes, except for the private plants they will install at their beach mansions.

California could have built plenty of desalination plants but they chose to flush at least $15 billion on a train that never got built.

Same thing happened with nuclear reactors, now Bill Gates and Warren Buffett have been cleared to build one in Montana.

They will soon be granted exclusive rights to build nuclear-powered desalination plants.

Our desalination plant here in San Diego works well. We are trying to build more, but the left makes it difficult.

Imagine if we spent California’s High Speed Rail money on desalination. We could have completed 20 Desalination Plants like the one in San Diego, producing a significant quantity of the water needed for San Diego and Los Angeles Counties. Instead, we have about 100 miles of useless track in the middle of farmland. No stations, no trains, no riders. All we have is a 100 mile long monument to corruption.

Cali does this shit ever year it has a major drought. With a budget well in surplus, they could fund dozens of desalination plants and pump that clean water inland. But then.. that’s to much on the solution side. Liberal filth want ISSUES, not solutions.

CA sucks up resources like a giant vacuum. Southern CA alone probably has 8,00,000 lawns, landscaping and another million with swimming pools... I’ve seen pools so big it takes *days* to drain them into the streets and gutters. It’s a colossal epic waste of resources.
