A Taliban offensive is encircling the Afghan capital and there’s increasingly only one way out for those fleeing the war, and only one way in for U.S. troops sent to protect American diplomats still on the ground: Kabul’s international airport
Having abandoned Bagram Air Base — which served as the American military's main hub in Afghanistan — ahead of the final U.S. pullout at the end of the month, the U.S. military will now have to rely on flying people out of the Kabul airport.
“We will be able to move thousands per day but that’s just the airlift capacity,” Kirby said.
There may also be the need to move the operations of the U.S. Embassy to the airport as well, if the Taliban push into Kabul and begin battling for control of the city, though State Department spokesman Ned Price repeatedly declined to discuss that possibility. The Kabul airport also has Turkish troops guarding the facility.

I do not think there was a person on the planet that did not think the Afghan government would fall once we left. I do not fault Biden for the fall of the corrupt Afghan government. I fault him for the speed in which his incompetence enabled it to fall within days of leaving and embarrassing our nation.An orderly withdrawal over a few months would have been acceptable to save some face. Even Vietnam took 2 years to fall after the truce. A four year old child would have made better strategic withdrawal decisions than this 78 year old incompetent who is in way over his head.
Biden made his priorities clear. The mass Muslim immigration has been in the planning for months. Just search Ft. Lee and you will find all the accommodations detailed in months of articles where Biden has been prepared to have a mass Muslim immigration. He needs chaos for this plan to work. That's is what is happening now.
Face it the Committee of Crazy that runs the US will do nothing they need the money for their Pet Illegals
They hopefully put the bulk of the 3,000 or 8,000 new forces in a tight perimeter around that airport and the runway approach corridor along with some tough CAS assets like a10's. You just have to know chinks/russkies are sending as many shoulder launched anti aircraft missles to the taliban as they can. Think of the PR and morale victory they would get from blowing a c17 out of the air with a few hundred US troops on it, or mortaring/rocketing aircraft at that airport. They could double the casualties of 20 years pretty quickly.
If only we could control the skies.

The Afghans who supported Americans there deserve to be evacuated.
Many will not be and they are being slaughtered right now. In one town, Afghan soldiers surrendered. They were brought into the center of town and executed in cold blood.
They better get a lot more Afghans out.
So sad.
