PHOENIX - Arizona's Attorney General announced on Aug. 20 that businesses within the State of Arizona can require their employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
A summary of a legal opinion written by Attorney General Mark Brnovich was posted to the Attorney General's website on Friday, amid ongoing debate over vaccine mandates.
"While public health measures may be pursued during emergencies, they cannot trample constitutionally guaranteed liberties," Brnovich wrote. "Arizonans should be free, without coercion, to make medical decisions regarding vaccination that they feel are best for themselves and their families."

What I want to know is why it’s okay for state employees, Pfizer, Biden staff to have a choice of whether or not to get these shots but everyone else must if their employer says they have to.

I can see a lot of newly unemployed people looking for jobs and the businesses not being able to hire due to their shortsighted woke thinking.

That is an option but how many can afford to especially if its been a long term employment.

Thought I heard the postal carriers union said “Nuh uh, not forcing it!” So, hate to say it, possibly unions may serve a purpose here. We have a neighbor who is a fire fighter and his department hasn’t said they have to get the jab yet, but the IAFF is ready to go fight any mandatory requirement. He’s had his jab but said there are 7 or 8 guys who don’t want to take it. Heard the cdc isn’t requiring it. NIH?
And we the people say, no, they may not.
Not always easy to quit. In the case of our only child, now 27, my wife and I have indicated if forced to take the jab and they want to quit, we can support them financially for an extended period of time without having to move back home. The problem might be finding an employee with a suitable replacement job that is also not requiring the jab.
Talk about a well-greased slippery slope!

Can they require their employees to quit smoking?
Private businesses can require employees to get the vaxx but the gov’t of Arizona cannot require state employees to get vaxxed due to state laws. Not a lot of sense there.
Also- the AG seemingly opened it up to a lot of potential lawsuits. Seems to read- yeh you can require the vax but tread lightly.
Where is all this heading? Personally I would prefer to see the people standing up and refusing this totalitarian act by employers, let them Shut Down because they have No Employee’s.
I am so glad I am self employed and close to retirement!, hoping for 5 more years, but the way things are going I might quit early out of necessity to remain secluded and segregated from the Nazi’s amongst us.
