A 46-year-old woman is facing several charges related to firebombing a Buddhist temple in Palm Beach Gardens Sunday morning.

Mei Cheung, of Riviera Beach, was charged Monday with five counts of possession of a firebomb and one count of criminal mischief in a place of worship.

She was given a $100,000 bail.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) responded to a firebombing incident at a Buddhist temple in unincorporated Palm Beach Gardens Sunday morning.

The PBSO Bomb Squad responded to St. Dak Buddhist Temple, located on the 6900 block of Donald Ross Road, before 8 a.m. Sunday, investigators said. When they arrived, multiple items were found burning on the temple grounds.

Bomb squad members later determined these items were improvised incendiary devices, officials said.

The temple's video surveillance captured video of a woman igniting and throwing four of the firebombs over the gate and onto temple property, investigators said. The footage also showed her placing a fifth, lit firebomb into a mailbox next to the temple.

Sheriff's office leaders said the building was not damaged, but the mailbox was damaged. The mailbox was still up on the temple grounds as of Sunday night.

Investigators identified Cheung as the suspect. She was located and later interviewed by detectives and taken to Palm Beach County jail.

In the arrest report, a previous incident on September 12, which had not been previously reported, was also noted. Deputies said video from security cameras shows a woman with a grey Toyota minivan outside of the temple spray painting what is described as “vulgar words” on the temple gate and sign.

The woman seen in the video matches the same description of Cheung, according to investigators. Her license plate number was also the same as the one in the video.

The sheriff's office has not shared whether any federal agencies will assist in the investigation, or whether security footage of the incident will be released.

Sounds Chinese......we know that China is using students and others to create chaos in the US. Might be one of theirs stirring up trouble.

She read the primary sources of Buddhism and decided to act out (Protip; Buddha did not have positive things to say about the female sex).

Mei is a spelling of a Chinese surname, transcribed in the Mandarin dialect. In Hong Kong and other Cantonese-speaking regions, the name may be transliterated as Mui or Moy.

In Vietnam, this surname is spelled Mai.
In Korean, it is spelled Mae.

Compare and contrast the rules of bhikkunis to bhikkus.
Your BS bile is just “make it up as you go along to appease” the here and now. Notice I said primary sources/”scripture”, not anecdotal circumstances of a small pool of females (Where most would have not chosen that life) who had a heck of a lot more rules placed over them than their male counter parts.

You possibly will misunderstand what I am going to say but women, especially fertile women of child bearing age, have always had a lot more rules placed on them because, quite bluntly, they are the most valuable and vulnerable group of humans on the planet.

Cry to God or mother nature about it if you wish.

Don't expect to get anywhere through.
