Former President Carter, the oldest living president, will mark his 97th birthday Friday.
Carter plans to spend his birthday quietly at his home in Georgia and will not make any public appearances, Deanna Congelio, the press secretary at the Carter Center in Atlanta, told ABC.
Employees at the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site in Plains, Ga., the former president's hometown, recorded birthday greetings from him, ABC reported. The Carter Center's website shared an online birthday card that members of the public can sign.

But after Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Biden, Carter looks very good by comparison. I miss him.
I give full credit to Jimmy Carter for making me see the stupidity of ever voting for a democrat at any level again.

I can’t stand the man’s politics, but it’s tough not to admire President Carter making it to 97, especially considering his recent incident with brain cancer.
Too bad Reagan didn’t live that long.
Then there was the Iran Hostage Crisis. The cars manufactured during the Carter years were pretty awful, too. It looked we were inspired by the Soviet Union as a goal for overall national incompetence. It was embarrassing.
IF Carter is still the absolute worst president of my lifetime is debatable now, but he wasn't the best.

At least, unlike the current occupant of the White House, Carter loved his country.
They were vaccinated back in February.

Yep, every DemocRat president since Kennedy has been more liberal and worse than the last.
America survived all of Carter’s disasters except one — the Department of Education.
That has turned out to be the most dangerous and destructive disaster of all.
Closing it down now would be a major step in recovering our nation.
