When our kids were little, the most blue/pink divided store was always Toys R Us. They’re gone now. While it may be smart marketing to back off on gender-targeted organization of a store, it isn’t the role of government to demand it. Shoppers are free to vote with their feet. If the concept is outdated or offensive, store owners will get the message without an intermediary from Sacramento. But then, we know this isn’t about common sense or solving problems. It’s about control and picking winners and losers.
