President Joe Biden took off Columbus Day on Monday, remaining in Delaware an extra day to celebrate the holiday despite his conflicted proclamation statement about the federal holiday.
The president proclaimed the day as an important day for Italian-Americans but also voiced concerns about the treatment of the American Indians.

First, I eat some pasta, and then I burn a wagon.
I know I always look forward to ‘celebrating’ Columbus day.
On Columbus day eve all the children would barely be able to sleep.
We would have the usual Columbus day dinner and put up a Columbus day tree with all the Columbus day decorations. Then well all gather and sing Columbus carols, and tell tales of Columbus days past..
How do YOU celebrate Columbus day? Traditionally or with any special family Columbus day events? Do you fry up a groundhog with all the Columbus day trimmings?
Taking the day off to ‘Celebrate’ is a nice side benefit. I wonder what they have planned at the White House?
I celebrate by stopping my neighbors from cutting out the beating hearts of thousands of people. The rest I infect with smallpox. So it’s a pretty busy day

So why are all the wokies taking Columbus Day off if they don’t recognize him and rip down Columbus statues?

For Biden Columbus day means an extended weekend getting pumped up with whatever they’re giving him. In other words NOT Working.
Always took my nephews and nieces to a movie. Did it on Black Friday too.

Not only do they take off Columbus Day. They also take off last Friday to make it a four day weekend.
Up here in NH it is one of the busiest weekends of the year because it coincides with fall foliage season. All the hotels are full up in the White Mtns. Most are from MA.
The school systems all have a “teachers workshop” day on Friday so they can have a four day weekend.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs has been a most wonderful agency among all of them, working over, I mean working hard to ensure that there are always enough blankets, booze, and bottomed out trucks for every native American ward of the government. It’s the Democrat way, Donghae ow!
