Federal, aerospace contractors of Central Florida are planning to protest Monday against the federal workers COVID-19 vaccine mandate, according to a report by Fox 35.
In September, President Joe Biden announced new vaccine requirements for federal workers, mandating employers with more than 100 workers to require their employees to get vaccinated or tested weekly for COVID-19. Biden also signed an executive order requiring members of the executive branch and contractors working with the federal government to receive the vaccine, allowing no option to test out.
The mandate takes hold Dec. 8 but Central Florida aerospace employees of Northrop Grumman don’t agree with the mandate calling it unconstitutional, and are protesting Monday outside the Melbourne facility, according to Fox 35.

Good. It is time for a lot of DoD contractors to speak out. It is also time for the workers to ensure that the companies know that there is currently no mandate. If the government puts pen to paper they can truly impose a mandate. But as long as there is no written mandate, no one has standing to sue to stop the mandate because it does not exist. That is a feature of the process, not a bug!

Don’t piss off the people who make your weapons if you want them to actually work building your weapons. Union members know all the tricks to slow down production.
This isn’t part of the mandate. This is related to their federal contracts.
All federal contractors can be told to vaccinate.
Since there still is NO ACTUAL WRITTEN RULE.......
That is a material modification of their contracts. The government can’t do that unless the courts back them up, which is possible. But it now opens up contracts to renegotiation in many areas. And it sets a precedent that the government can alter a contract arbitrarily after it is awarded. Should make for some interesting effects on contract law.
Specialists with high level clearances are hard or impossible to replace in a short timeframe.
