Covid vaccines have about a 6% failure rate overall, mainly in immune-deficient people such as the elderly.
It is reasonable for such people to use early shopping hours and masks for the modest short-term protection masks can provide.

For indoor gatherings, people should still wear masks, especially the unvaccinated. Yeah…no.
Fortunately, masks / vaccines won’t be a requirement at any gatherings I’m attending.
