An Astros fan hoisted a sign calling the Atlanta Braves “Tomahawk Chop” “racist” during Game 1 of the World Series as the Houston Astros faced the Braves on Tuesday.
The Braves have faced wide criticism for its name and use of native American imagery. It has taken particular fire for fans’ use of the Chop war cry chant during games at the Braves’ Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.

yes... Houston used to be a nice conservative town until Soros & open borders took over
I had last night’s game on, it was painful to watch...two hours, and they were still in the 4th inning...boring, boring, boring. Catfish Hunter’s complete games often took less time.
When I think of Astros fans, I think “Texas”, not “Houston”. I can tell you Braves fans are Georgia and nearby states, not “Atlanta”. Every state has their cancerous circles of blue.
Maybe the Astros should steal it? They steal everything else.
I think it’s racist for all the Indian casinos to reap billions from Caucasians and hide behind reservation loop holes for tax evasion.
Let’s go to the tape....Game 1 Braves 6 Astros 2
I watched about two innings because it gives one of my sons and me something to talk about together. Then, I saw the dude on Atlanta playing with a string of pearls around his neck. I asked him if he also carried a purse. At that point, I was done.
What is racist about it? Did American Indians use tomahawks as a weapon or not?
What’s next, the Minute Men holding muskets and swords is racist? No, wait, that would be imperialist.
Atlanta fans deserve this series, after all of Rob Manfred’s political games that they had to put up with
this would be real karma
Oh my... just another pants wetting blue blood Houston demon-rat.
Most of us Houston natives are NOT that thin-skinned.
Stealing signs is racist.
RACISSSSSSSSSSSSS
I find the Astro’s name to be Scoobie-ist.
Taunting in sports????!!!????
O the huge manatee!!!!
[My feigned outrage.]
I about spit out my drink of water when one of the announcers said that a Braves player was playing with a “pearl necklace”.

It should have read, Atlanta in 4.
There’s no big conspiracy there - joc pedersen is straight, married with a kid. He and some teammates were talking about needing some good luck when they were losing started and he wore the pearls as a joke, and they started winning so it kind of stuck as his thing. Fans started wearing them too. It’s just good-natured fun. No agenda there.
Didn’t the tomahawk on the front of the uniform used to say Braves across the handle?
It still does on their home jersey. The away jersey says Atlanta.
Do you hear all the whistling in the back ground of the broadcast whenever the Astros are at bat.
The Red Sox thought they were whistling every time a fast ball was the next pitch to be throw.
So, the whole crowd at Fenway was whistling in the last couple games of the ALCS. Not that it helped the Sox.
