NASCAR driver Kyle Busch issued an apology on Monday after using the R-word during a post-race interview at Martinsville Speedway.
Busch uttered the slur against people with disabilities on Sunday while describing a move made by his opponent, Brad Keselowski.
"It's frickin' r-------, man, so stupid," Busch said. "I don't understand these guys. I should beat the s--- out of [Keselowski] right now, is what I should do, but that doesn't do me any good either."

What is the R-word?
Retard
I am trying to think of a word starting with “R” that would be offensive?
Republican, reliable, read, road?
Enlighten me please.
He used the word “retarded”.
I was wondering what the word was too, so I scanned the article again; apparently “retarded” is now a bad word.
From the article, “…people with disabilities…”
This wokeism crap is so retarded.
Was Brandon in that race?
Only a low IQ, bigoted, two dimensional default thinker would automatically associate the word “retarded” with those who have Down”s Syndrome. That, in itself, is retarded.
Oh, noes! He “uttered a slur.”
Pretty sophomoric reporting.
When I was a kid in the late 50’s and early 60’s we’d kiddingly tell other kids to take a Spaz Pill and chill out. No problems.
He should use the excuse he looks like he suffers from Down’s syndrome, so he isn’t really disparaging any group.
Let’s Go Kyle.
Retarded.
Give me a break. That’s one of the many problems with the perpetual butt hurt among us. Whatever word you use, it gets a negative connotation, then you have to endlessly shame and come up with new terms.
I use words that would make liberals pass out.
It’s rude to use the word “retarded”.
That’s why I call such people morons, idiots, and window lickers.
Until maybe 15 years ago, there was nothing wrong with that word. It was in all the medical books. Retarded was a definition of condition. Now, the majority have decided to take it as a personal insult, a malignment vs a description of a condition or process. What can you do? Popular culture often dictates it’s own definition of that time.
