‘I’m in trouble’: Biden reveals granddaughter works for Mike Bloomberg

President Biden inadvertently disclosed Tuesday that one of his granddaughters works for billionaire former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who briefly was one of his Democratic primary rivals.

Biden made the revelation during a press conference in Glasgow, Scotland, when he called on reporter “Jen Epstein of the Wall Street Journal” to ask him a question.

Epstein corrected the president that she works for Bloomberg News, which is owned by the financial entrepreneur, who was mayor from 2002 to 2013.

“Excuse me. I beg your pardon,” Biden told Epstein. “I hope — I got it. I got it, especially since my granddaughter works for you guys. In a different circumstance. So I got it. I’m in trouble.”

It’s unclear which grandchild works for Bloomberg and in what role.

If this were the only time POTUS used the line “I’m in trouble”, I could see it as a friendly kind of joke. But he has said this several times, which begs the question: who is the President of the United States afraid of getting in trouble with? It’s the kind of thing a child would say.
