The suit, the tie, the shirt, all very professional. And, the black earrings do match...but...earrings.
My guess is they are inserts and without them there is a big, ugly hunk of flappy skin dangling there.

He is not that bright and to be a good liar you need to be intelligent.
You keep the lie simple and as close to the truth as possible. You are telling the truth just with one little addition or subtraction. Or even just a subtle twist.
The less you have to keep straight the better.
The stupid and arrogant person makes their lie elaborate, it is so heavy and unwieldy that after a bit you blurt out the truth because you have mentally worn yourself out.
