Agree.
It is hard to know how the jurors will respond to that line of questioning. The DA may have scored some points, particularly if the jurors are aware of the threats made against them by the leftwing thugs apparently present in Kenosha, and therefore some may be looking to convict Kyle of something, even a lesser charge. If a few of them remember their HS or college biology, the “flight or fight” explanation might blunt the DAs “why did you not render assistance” argument and thus signficantly help Kyle’s lawyers make their case.

The calm and restraint that Kyle showed that night was almost superhuman. It was truly astounding to watch.

Agreed, though some youthful misjudgements that might bite him a little. To be 'clean' in self defense one cant have dirty hands. I think Kyle is clean but the prosecutor is certainly trying to bring out nit factors that he could exploit to make Kyle look dirty. Driving w/o a license, not obeying curfew order, etc. The DL thing is just stupid in the context of this trial. And unless anyone else was arrested for a curfew violation, that is also stupid. But thats where the prosecutor wants to go. That, and trying to say Kyle's attackers were in fear of being shot by Kyle is all he has to go with.

He did everything exactly right.

Considering that was only Kyle's second time even using his rifle, and according to his testimony he never even fired it at distance, I'd say he was well taught, naturally skilled, or very lucky. Probably a combination of all three with emphasis on luck.

This is a really great kid, and I think his testimony today really reinforced that.

I also think he did well today (the strain was showing), but you and I know the subject matter. Hopefully his jury has some knowledge of practical personal defense and guns, and an understanding of the stress of being in a shooting situation and making decisions in those critical moments. But its not a given that the jury has that common sense knowledge anymore.

Rittenhouse sounds English to me. Possibly Scot/Irish.

-- This is a legal system, not a justice system. --

It's an industry. Profit and win motives are primary.

Like the press, the legal industry has advanced self-serving myths such as equal justice and many others. Dig into the weeds and see how it really works, and you realize the high-falutin' rhetoric is a sham.

By the time Huber and Grosskreutz were shot, it was crystal clear to Kyle that everyone in the mob around him was a potential danger. Attempting to render aid would probably have meant his death.

“When Rittenhouse first took the stand, jurors appeared attentive and took extensive notes as he spoke about fearing for his life. But as cross-examination continued into the afternoon by prosecutor Thomas Binger, jurors began to tire and took fewer notes”

"Rittenhouse"?

Feels Dutch. Rittenhouse vaguely translates to "Road House", so maybe a tavernist/hotelier, or as they call it in England, a 'publican'.

Bongino's Wisconsin law expert said it was to gain a "directed aquittal with prejudice". (Can't be tried again).

There are numerous legal reasons not to give aide to someone you just had to shoot.

Priority one, make sure you are safe, either at the location or by getting somewhere else.

Priority two, call 911 and tell them there has been a shooting, send and ambulance and officers, that you were attacked and you had to defend yourself, and a description of yourself and how you are dressed. Then hang up or put them on hold and make your second call, that attorney you have on retainer or though US Lawshield.

Rendering aide yourself just opens you up to more liability, especially if the perp dies or is scarred and the perps family can find yet another way to blame you for it.

I’ve worked for lawyers, dealt with lawyers on the opposite side of issues, and also worked with young students (firm law clerks) who were studying to be lawyers. Most are not pricks. Although I admit the ones who are, normally end up in the D.A.’s office.

Most attorneys I have known have a real interest and zeal in defending the law and the Constitution of the U.S.

One young student, a first generation college graduate, went into the law because he saw how his mother (a drug dependent woman — due to an serious automobile accident) was treated by attorneys and judges in the system. She had no serious charge against her, but they had no respect for her as a person. He wanted a balance between punishing the offender and helping a victim. He will make a fine attorney because he sees the humanity behind the case number.

Now recently, things have started to change where activists are being channeled into law school in order to do what they do best, which is undermine the law, but that is another story.

“””Pistols aren’t accurate more tha 6 years away, especially under pressure.”””

And I would also say a rifle is not any more accurate than a pistol when under pressure.

Rosenbaum and Huber both grabbed the barrel of the rifle in an attempt to take it away. Bad moves on their part.

Shooting Gaige’s arm at close range was a lucky shot whether a pistol or a rifle had been used.

The new “Gaige the Lefty” is just plain lucky the bullet did not go through his chest.

I've reviewed your recent posts, especially on this thread. It's obvious to me that you're not a lawyer based on the substandard quality of your writing and your analysis of what's going on in this case. When reading your posts, the Dunning-Kruger effect immediately comes to my mind.

“””It’s like what the attorney’s did in the Rodney King assault trial, slowing down the video into frame-by-frame and then asking the cops “What were you thinking now?” in one second increments.”””

I recall the video was shot at 30 frames per second. So one frame is 1/30th of a second.

The surname Rittenhouse was first found in Austria, where the name became noted for its many branches in the region, each house acquiring a status and influence which was envied by the princes of the region. In their later history the name became a power unto themselves and were elevated to the ranks of nobility as they grew into this most influential family.
