As rare as Indian Summer! The local radio weather readers predicted a period of "second summer" which is when you have warm weather after the first freeze. Then I realized that one more reference to the Indians had been erased.

It is my understanding that the term Indian Summer was a reference to the early settlers image of Indians as being untrustworthy.
