Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R) on Friday endorsed former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders as his successor, saying that his state “will be in good hands” under her leadership.
“I’ve known Sarah Huckabee Sanders most of her life and know firsthand her love for our state and her heart for public service,” Hutchinson said in a statement. “Sarah has earned the Republican nomination and I’m delighted today to endorse her for Governor.”

Not all nepotism is bad. I have faith that Sarah has the temperment and ability to make a good Governor.

He will probably have be careful not to get too personally involved in direct responses to critics. Sarah can fight for herself. You know there will be aggressive critics for any GOP.

Sarah Huckabee has absolutely ZERO qualifications to be Governor.
Her dad is a useless RINO (Democrat Lite) and she was once a spokesperson for Trump. I don’t see anything in that resume that would earn my vote. Not even a local school board position, never been a legislator or held a productive job.
I don’t dislike the lady, but seriously, are we going to run the state government on Facebook likes?

Well, I still support Sarah, in spite of the man behind the curtain’s endorsement.
I’m endorsing Attorney General Leslie Rutledge despite the Trump endorsement for her GOP opponent. She’s got more experience than Sarah and has proven her Conservative stripes in office in backing the multi-state lawsuit to decertify the fraudulent 2020 election. I’m worried daughter may turn into dad. He was an awful RINO Governor who wrecked the state GOP.
I have no dog in this fight. :-)
If Sarah really wants to do the state a favor, let her take out the useless Sen. Boozman in the primary and let AG Rutledge become Governor.

That’s the worry here. With Rutledge, we know what we’ll be getting as Governor. With Sarah, she’s never held office, and we don’t know if she’ll be good or rotten like her father. I hate these ones “you have to elect them to see how they are.” It’s like playing political Russian Roulette. We lucked out with President Trump, but look at Liz Cheney. We thought she might be, at worst, not as Conservative as we hoped, but never realized she’d turn full Derp State treasonous warmongering loon.
My dudes, Rutledge dropped out a couple days ago after polling showing it was no contest. It’s Huckabee Jr unopposed.
She (Rutledge) switched to the LT Governor’s race, FYI.
*Ed McMahon voice* I did not know that. That’s giving up a powerful position for a weak one, but it looks like the lesser statewide officers are playing musical chairs.
Tim Griffin already jumped into the AG race so...Rutledge didn’t want to risk not having a job I guess. She should be the strong fav for LT.
