"In this case, Rittenhouse can argue that even if he provoked others to attack him by openly carrying his semi-automatic rifle at a mob scene"

Provoking? What crap, seeing a weapon should deescalate things unless you are too stupid to realize you can be shot.

If someone seeing you carrying a weapon provokes that person to attack you, that BOLSTERS your justification for shooting them in any rational person’s minds.

How about the “outrageously poor judgment” of the “protesters’ who “took to the streets” and burned down a town to protest a plainly-justified police shooting.

MSNBC knows quite a lot about stories that don’t quite add up.

Anyone who attacks an armed individual simply because they are armed deserves the consequences.

his outrageously poor judgment in bringing a semi-automatic rifle to a protest.

If he hadn't bought the rifle to the protest, he'd have been seriously hurt or killed by three violent slimeballs. As it is, he successfully defended himself against the attacks of three violent slimeballs. His judgment seems sound to anyone who isn't a crazed leftist.

quote “his outrageously poor judgment in bringing a semi-automatic rifle to a protest”

um.. you mean is very prudent judgement to exercise his constitutional right to bear arms during a riot which most likely saved his life!

We would NOT be having this trial or discussion had the Kenosha Police Department not been told to Stand Down and allow the Soros/DNC inspired Communists of BLM and ANTIFA to RIOT, LOOT, BURN and wreak havoc in Kenosha to begin with.

The Mayor, Police Chief, City Council and DA of that community are fully responsible in their DERELICTION OF DUTY and deserve to be held to full account for creating the situation where ordinary citizens were put into the position of having to protect their community.

I notice one central assumption in this line of narrative that itself doesn’t “add up”, and that is that somehow Kyle didn’t have the right to be there but that the rioters did; that Kyle didn’t have the right to have a firearm with him but that the rioters did; that Kyle didn’t have a right to look threatening but that the rioters did to assault him. If your entire political stance is that one side has rights the other doesn’t, you lose.

It provides that a “person who engages in unlawful conduct of a type likely to provoke others to attack, and who does provoke an attack, is not allowed to use or threaten force in self-defense against that attack.” That prohibition would seem to apply to Rittenhouse, whose alleged illegal possession of a semi-automatic rifle provoked others to attack him.

And how exactly did his attackers know this was as an "illegal possession of a semi-automatic rifle"? "progessives" can be so downright ridiculous when seeking to crucify someone.
