Historian and author Jon Meacham said Monday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that the infrastructure bill signed into law today by President Joe Biden “will rank” in history with former President Dwight Eisenhower’s Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956 that created America’s interstate highway system.
Anchor Ari Melber said, “What you see in the sweep of history, it’s hard to get a sense of it as we go in real-time, but when we look at the numbers, how rare or infrequent it is you get this national investment. I’m curious your thoughts on where this fits in long term.”

Eisenhower’s interstate highway program wasn’t a cover for the mass theft of taxpayer money.
So there’s that difference.
That's why it was blocked. Not enough pork in it. President Trump needed to watch "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington".
That's because what we've got here are a bunch of formerly-young '60s and '70s "activists" -- some of them billionaires -- who probably still have Che posters on their walls and want to finally turn the country communist before they croak.
They were completely useless then, and even more useless now.

Meacham is a highly overrated leftist fool. Some of his history writings could be considered good but his political leftist asskissing ideology makes a lot of what he writes/says now very questionable.
