The president’s son was part owner of a venture involved in the $3.8 billion purchase by a Chinese conglomerate of one of the world’s largest cobalt deposits. The metal is a key ingredient in batteries for electric vehicles.
An investment firm where Hunter Biden, the president’s son, was a founding board member helped facilitate a Chinese company’s purchase from an American company of one of the world’s richest cobalt mines, located in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Mr. Biden and two other Americans joined Chinese partners in establishing the firm in 2013, known as BHR and formally named Bohai Harvest RST (Shanghai) Equity Investment Fund Management Company.
The three Americans, all of whom served on the board, controlled 30 percent of BHR, a private equity firm registered in Shanghai that makes investments and then flips them for a profit. The rest of the company is owned or controlled by Chinese investors that include the Bank of China, according to records filed with Chinese regulators.
One of BHR’s early deals was to help finance an Australian coal-mining company controlled by a Chinese state-owned firm. It also assisted a subsidiary of a Chinese defense conglomerate in buying a Michigan auto parts maker.

The firm made one of its most successful investments in 2016, when it bought and later sold a stake in CATL, a fast-growing Chinese company that is now the world’s biggest maker of batteries for electric vehicles.

That Hunter Biden is a corrupt piece of trash isn’t surprising. But what is surprising is that the ‘New York Times’ is reporting on it.
Yep, it’s not Fox or Breitbart. It’s the NYT. Kinda makes you wonder what’s going on here.
yup- how cute with the timing. This off the heels this rag purposely withheld a story about the Kenosha riots until after the election.
Who are you and what have you done with the real new york times?
My first thought is that they’re preparing for removing Biden from office. If other news outlets pick up this story or other start reporting on similar stories, then it’s definite that they’re replacing him soon long before 2024.

The Post was among the first to expose Joe and Hunter Biden’s utter corruption. On this, its first anniversary, the Hunter Biden saga remains an outrageous scandal for two reasons...
....it revealed how Joe Biden’s brothers and son got big payments domestically and from foreign governments and nationals for years while he held public office. .......emails reveal a sordid pattern of deals with oligarchs, Chinese Communists and thugs that brought the Biden family tens of millions of dollars. There was correspondence showing Joe aided Hunter by meeting with his foreign associates.
The second scandal is that many Americans are still unaware of the Biden deals and Joe’s involvement because of the embargo by major outlets. That embargo, which largely continues today, revealed the coordinated corruption of Big Media and Big Tech. ......they swallowed whole the Biden campaign claim of “Russian disinformation” and were aided and abetted by Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.......the same outlets and tech giants that breathlessly promoted the Russia, Russia, Russia fiction about Donald Trump ignored the Biden scandal.
The Times won a Pulitzer for its reporting on a dirty trick concocted by Hillary Clinton and weaponized by the Obama-Biden administration.
Yet the Times has never admitted its Russia error nor revealed the truth of the Clinton role and that of the Obama-Biden White House.
Nor has it exhibited much curiosity about the full extent of the Biden family’s foreign entanglements and whether Joe has been compromised by secret deals.
The possible implications of the Biden family connection are astounding — and dangerous. With China emerging as America’s most potent and determined adversary ......we have far more evidence that Biden is compromised by China than we ever had that Trump was compromised by Russia.
