The location of the DeSantis bill signing ceremony was held at a car dealership in the small Tampa suburb of BRANDON, FL

The governor smiled when asked if the location was a move to troll the president, saying β€œI think that Brandon, Florida is a great American city” as a crowd of about 250 supporters chanted β€œLet’s go Brandon.”

Gov DeSantis will win Florida by bigger margin than last election which was a squeaker. We love him here in FLorida. But his anti-vaxxine stance guarantees a loss in a nationwide contest. Just my objective opinion.

FedGov sends troops into Florida in 3... 2... 1...

Seriously, I hope Florida prevails over the "Biden" junta's unconstitutional "vaccine" mandates. It will encourage other states. My own state (Alabama) has a weak governor that signed a weak anti-mandate bill that ultimately helps nobody but state employees.

I agree, and don’t know why any Southern governor would run for Federal President ever again. Perhaps they might run for President of the Southern Coalition of States, or whatever emerges, but no Republican will ever be elected President of the US in its present form, ever again. Demonrats can and will steal any such election.

DeSantis officially made Florida the first state with a law that imposes fines on businesses and hospitals that require inoculation against Covid-19 without exemptions or alternatives.

DeSantis signed the legislative package into law a day after Republican lawmakers passed his anti-mandate agenda during a fast-moving special session that was largely divided along party lines.

“Leadership means you get in there and you do what you can to stand by people,” DeSantis said. “And that’s exactly what we did today.”

Not anti-"vax", anti mandate. The mandates have NOT been popular in most polls. Also, you have to consider how people will feel about the mandates in 2024. We all know some early takers who bought the first round of propaganda and now have buyer's remorse, especially when boosters kick in.

If a majority backs Biden's approach on this, then no one worth electing can win.

The Republican nominee HAS to be anti-mandate.

I agree because I am against health related mandates from government. But voters are not politically astute. They might confuse anti-mandate as anti-vaccine.

That is what happened in 2020. President Trump said something like “this covid is just another flu and will disappear when warm summer weather arrives”. Biden on the other hand was hiding in his basement and wearing masks. Voters construed that as Biden was taking covid more seriously.

An example of this is Virginia which Trump lost to Biden by 10 points. Everyone assumed VA was more blue now. That can’t be true, since in the recent election for governor the republican won by 3 points. That is 13 points better than Trump.

You got it the wrong way round.

The GOP won the Lt Governor, state AG and state legislature too.
Mostly from fightback against CRT, vaccine mandates etc etc.

May be. Then it follows that president Trump should have done the same thing. It is hard for me to believe the margin of fraud in Virginia was 13%.

Lie your way to the Presidency. That’s the ticket. Cuz, you know, voters just aren’t politically astute. Biden shares similar condescending views.

Probably because he knows how to capitalize and doesn't write like an inbred hood-rat.

according to your logic you’re an inbred hood-rat due to your lack of using a capital letter in your screen name... 😁...

Virginia is a funny case. There are undoubtedly many, many government employees, government contractors, and special interest groups who may sometimes lean Republican in general but didn't like Trump's anti-Washington approach. They may also feel different about state issues vs. national issues. For an entire generation voters in the deep south would vote for a Republican for president, but Democrat on the underticket out of culture and perception of "their" Democrat Rep or Senator.

Virginia just isn't a great state to extrapolate from.

DeSantis’ opposition to mandating the poisons labeled COVID vaccines is an enormous plus for him in every way.
