resident Donald Trump on Wednesday granted an attorney-client privilege waiver to longtime friend Bernard Kerik, opening the door for the former New York Police commissioner to testify before the congressional committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.
Kerik had informed the committee Tuesday he wants to cooperate but needed more time to resolve attorney-client privilege issues because he worked for Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani.
Trump said he was waiving his privilege claims for Kerik, hoping the former top cop will present evidence of election irregularities gathered during Kerik's work.
"The Unselect Committee issued a subpoena to Bernie Kerik, an American Patriot and great former Police Commissioner of New York City, for its Jan. 6th Witch Hunt, but didn’t realize what they were demanding is a massive trove of evidence of Voter Fraud," Trump said.
"According to Bernie’s lawyer, these documents show significant indicators of fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election Scam, but have remained hidden from the public. It is exactly what the Unselect Committee should be interested in—if this was a real investigation," the president added. "Bernie wants to comply with the subpoena with a public hearing, and asked me to waive attorney-client privilege so Bernie can testify and provide documents, which I grant him. The Unselect Committee will not like what they asked for!"

Democrats and Rinos won’t let him present any proof of fraud. They will silence his mic if he starts speaking about it, and have him carried out if need be.
Exactly - and these subpoenas are not necessarily for public testimony - so if Kerik or others do some damage and kick some teeth - the public will never see it.
Now Trump needs to publicly release all the documents that Kerik provides to the committee so that they can not cherry pick what they release to the public, (the normal trick they play).
It will probably require that Republicans on the committee ask Kerik about election irregularities or he won’t have any opportunity to mention them.
And that presumes that the DemonRat that controls the committee allows them to ask.
no, they can follow what My Cousin Vinny did near end of trial when sheriff he had asked to run the plate comes back to court room, brings him up to stand and Vinny asks “Sheriff, what’dya got”?
Then the sheriff says on a hunch, i took it upon myself to.....and presents the info needed for truth of the matter to be revealed.
Republicans will have to reconvene this “committee” once they regain control of the House. Then the rejected witnesses and questions can transpire. Of course, the new committee should be composed only of Republicans and democrats chosen by Republicans.

Yes they are. And neither one of them will be elected as a republican anywhere in the United States again. Although Kinzinger thinks he’s going to be governor of Illinois next. Maybe that his reward.
