On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks stated that we are “probably overheating” the economy and causing inflation, but he has “high tolerance for inflation in this kind of economy. Because I think we need it as a society to heal.”

Inflation used to be too many employers chasing too few employees with the government printing more money to try to hold off the moment when some employers had to drop out of the bidding and go out of business.

Now you also have government bidding more for many to be non-employees and simultaneously causing supply shocks in energy production, thus increasing inflation from at least three directions at once. That's not healing, that's economic suicide.
