MADD pressed for this...

Stated publically “This can save 10,000 lives each year from drunk drivers”.

HOW many new cars are produced each year in the USA???

5 million?
10 million?
15 million????

This Expensive requirement is going to cost auto makers a whole wad of $$$$$ and it is a total INSULT to those of us who DO NOT EVEN DRINK...

OVER REACH on STEROIDS

“Impaired” not “intoxicated”.

Ever have to drive drive when your really tired?

Expect to be stranded on the side of the road if you drift to the edge of the lane one too many times.

I’m more interested it what will happen when peoples cars just shut off/slow down suddenly in the fast lane on a crowded highway.

I’m sure that won’t cause any safety issues.

Can’t quote it exactly, but I think it was Ben Franklin who said you can have safety or freedom, but you can’t have both.

This is IN SPADES what’s going on today. The left has finally raised enough fearful children in our schools, and they are frightening them into submission. COVID, racism, “safe spaces”, gun control, and now a kill switch to stop drunk driving.

I once worked with a guy who said he could stop all crime. When pressed, he answered, “Death Penalty for parking tickets.” I wouldn’t go down the violation ladder that far, but actually using it for murder and treason would be a good start.
