Well, I like Tucker. But when I heard him say those things, my mind went right to the parents of Brian Laundrie.

Tucker Carlson was BFF’s with Hunter Biden until 2015. He even killed a bad story for him so of course he understands helping a criminal.

Your first obligation is to God, and in that obligation, to the truth.

Yeah, and his friend Hunter Biden too... Have lost a LOT of respect for this media personality.

Carlson was honest and up-front about his past friendship with his former neighbor, Hunter Biden. He said he said he would not include the details of Hunter's drug and sexcapades from the laptop.

Carlson was, however, the ONLY member of the media to interview, in depth, the Biden family "business associate", Bobulinski, discussing Hunter's role as the intermediary with "the big guy".

Give credit where credit is due.

You may choose to cross lines to help family.
That doesn’t mean your business associates should.

If I knew that my sister was a serious criminal, yes I’d turn her in to prevent anyone else from getting hurt.

Jesse Kelly said the same thing. I think it has to do with being willing to take the consequences and live with yourself whichever choice you make. Whether we approve or not or whether we think we’d do the same thing in the same situation doesn’t matter.

This was one of the few times I disagreed with Tucker.

One of my brothers went to prison for embezzlement. He’s shown no remorse and refuses to take any responsibility for the damage he and his wife did to the victim (a small church) or to his family.

To this day they both deny their guilt in spite of the mountain of evidence against them.

I’m under Zeno obligation to “support” either of them in any way. Nor will I.

Without seeing it, are you sure Tucker wasn’t being sarcastic? He likes to do that a LOT.

A couple of years ago, as Tucker was becoming the conservative media star, someone posted an article here about his extremely liberal family connections, upbringing, and background.

The writer believed that with such a swamp creature background Tucker’s current conservatism was all show business. I don’t know if it’s ALL show, but defending Cuomo and Hunter may just be a deeply ingrained reflex.

“It is unethical for a journalist to use their position, contacts, and influence to help a family member or friend involved in an investigation by law enforcement,” says Rebecca Aguilar, president of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ).

*************************************************
Please, They spend most of their time on air engaging in unethical behavior. That goes for all the politicians too.

It’s not right, but at least I can understand this unethical behavior.
Plus, does anyone really think he would have been fired, if those emails were not made public?

Apparently, Chris crossed a legal line.....

First he was suspended.....then as more was revealed, he was fired.........

Now said to be under investigation.

Sometimes “a good” will clash with a greater good. Everyone can understand wanting to help a brother. . .it’s just not an excuse, that’s all. In other words, getting fired is the price he had to be willing to pay for helping his brother. If he was open about it, it would be somewhat more noble. . .but he hid his activities. He was trying to have it both ways. .to help his brother AND save his career. . and it was a slime ball move.

Yeah, I gotta disagree on this. Scum bags, even if relatives, are scum bags and should be treated as such. To defend such disgusting behavior is not good. Trying to alter illegal or abhorent(sp) behavior is noble to a point. Sooner or later if things don’t change despite your efforts, you gotta let go. I know for real.

The problem is that it’d be great if I could give credit where its due. After November 2020, and what was done to we voters as well as President Trump, my trust is gone. I don’t trust a single damn one of these media types to tell the truth free of bias or propaganda.

“Your first obligation is to your family. Your first obligation is not to the state, it’s not to a political party, it’s not to Jeff Zucker or some creepy billionairess at the Atlantic magazine; it’s not even to your own career... Your most basic obligation is to the people you’re related to; when they need your help, no matter who they are — even if you’re the governor of a state — even if they’re horrible people, you help them, anyway, ‘cause it’s your family. Chris Cuomo may be an idiot, and he is,” the host summed up, “but he understands that. What a thing to be fired for.”
I think I saw that on The Sopranos once. Or maybe The Godfather.
But regardless, Tucker Carlson needs to be fired! /sarc

Don’t care enough about the Cuomo brothers OR quite frankly Tucker Carlson (he didn’t stand up against the obvious election theft). I haven’t watched FauxNews since November 4, 2020 at around 3:30am.
