Former Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to New Hampshire last week and stops in other high-profile early primary states are fueling speculation about a potential 2024 presidential run — and questions about whether he can win over the GOP voters he angered on Jan. 6.
In New Hampshire, Pence made a number of campaign-style stops, attending a fundraiser for Republican state Senate candidates, meeting with local political activists and stopping by a local bakery.

Pence and many others will try to get their marker down in case Trump doesn’t run in 2024. Few, if any, will stay in the race if Trump decides to run. Trump’s support is so large right now that even if one candidate could capture all the opposition support, he or she still cannot win the nomination. The McRomBush wing of the party isn’t that large.
There are at least 10 Senators or Governors who would easily beat him if Trump doesn’t run.

Pence is one of those guys who thinks that the political landscape of 30 years ago is still where the fight is. I don’t think he is actually a conscious doer of evil; he’s more like a useful idiot. He still thinks that our institutions are intact and just being poorly run by the big government liberals. I have no doubt that Mike Pence would a steadfast warrior for capital gains tax cuts.
He’s a “my good friend Joe Biden/Nancy Pelosi/Charles Schumer/Adam Schiff” kind of Republican. Their time is very much over.
My wife and I both mused that Pence would run and Trump would back him. It is just the way this crazy world keeps rolling. Already talk of a Trump and Clinton repeat of 2016.
A Religious Conservative will never be elected president again. We simply are not the same country. Republicans are going to have to lean Libertarian in order to win.
