Worst case scenarios are that the pubs capture one or both halves of Congress and manage to pass something worse (most likely if the pubs capture only the Senate) or nearly as bad which they can entirely own (most likely if they capture both houses).
Further consideration of this “Build Back (Broke)” has been kicked into 2022 now, an election year. And the closer we get to the election without it being passed, the more the Democrats will be deserting it altogether. Meanwhile, it is a very good issue for the Republicans to seize upon, if only they were not so enchanted by the idea of snatching defeat from the very jaws of victory.
Democrats are not universally enamored with a wish for self-destruction, no matter how they from time to time seem to unite behind the most un-American doctrines or ideologies. Some spark of decency still burns in a few hearts, but starved as it is for oxygen, it continues to flicker at a very low level.
Almost all the oxygen in the room has been sucked up by the Democrat Socialists, who seem to be the tail wagging the dog for now. And the windows in that room are difficult to open from the outside, if they could be opened at all.
A few well-placed bricks may be called for. The truth may yet set even the Democrats free.
