Joe Biden Skips Church for Christmas; Attends Mass ‘Virtually’ from the White House

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden did not go to church on Christmas, choosing instead to view Mass virtually from the White House.

The White House did not explain why the Bidens skipped Church for Christmas, as the president typically attends Catholic Mass regularly.

Has the local ordinary in Washington D.C. re-instituted the the precept requiring the faithful to assist at mass, a.k.a. physically attend mass, except for good reason or by permission? The precept applies both weekly (Sundays) and on Holy Days of Obligation. So Catholics are required to go to mass on two successive days this weekend.
