Forgot to add- the left is out for revenge for the impeachment of Clinton, then Gore losing, and then people bringing up Obama eligibility issues, then for Hillary losing.

But let’s be very clear. Jan 6 was not an insurrection. NO ONE has been charged with insurrection, treason of sedition. People who didn’t enter the Capitol have been thrown into solitary confinement for 49 days. Garland claims to have viewed 20,000 hours of security footage. That’s the same footage the DOJ is refusing to release to the defense attorneys. There is little doubt that much exculpatory evidence exists on those videos.
There are a lot more questions which need to be answered before any conclusions can be reached.
Why was the National Guard not mobilized? Trump authorized it.
There are a zillion video surveillance cameras around the Capitol. There are allegedly 20,000 hours of video and yet no one seems to have any interest in the “pipe bomber.”
Federal authorities have yet to explain why three armed protesters were removed from the FBI Most Wanted List.

When republicans take over the house and senate there will be no changes. Except for the media which will suddenly turn hostile to the tactics that the democrats exercised freely.
I’d like to think that the republicans taking over will change the direction of what’s coming. But I’ve not seen any evidence of it.
They’ve been exploring it since ladt year. Nothing new but they think a simple non binding resolution labeling 1-6-21 as an insurrection would suffice. Trump would have to fight it in court probably in every state trying to keep him off the ballot. If he runs in ‘24 we may be in for interesting times if he’s barred from running anywhere for partisan nonsense
You’re right. Trump will be as much if not more so a perpetual target as he was with his win in 2016. 2016 was endless Russia, Russia, Russia and other things. 2024 would not be pretty and I expect SDNY is setting up a “surprise” if he announced candidacy
