Pence says both Capitol riot and nixing filibuster are a 'power grab'

Former Vice President Mike Pence made the case against Democrats' push to nix the legislative filibuster in order to pass sweeping voting legislation.

In an op-ed published by The Washington Post Friday, Pence stated that both the Capitol riot that took place on Jan. 6, 2021 and the Democrats' attempt to change Senate rules amounted to a “power grab.”

Democrats, including President Biden, have voiced their full-throated support to change the 60-vote filibuster in order to pass their voting legislation that they argue would bolster the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

He can run all he wants. He is not going anywhere. He does not comprehend our situation. Another Member of the Washington Generals.

Pence has already outed himself as to who he is and where he stands. Good riddance!

Oh please, make it so!

Having been raised next door to a Baptist church, I was aware of their hypocrisy from an early age.

Behind the church during summer revivals was exhibited a whole new meaning to 'Bible Belt', hic!

Pence is what he is. But there are those who love him. And will defend his back stabbing of President Trump and defend his betrayal of the Constitution of the United States of America that he took an Oath to defend to the nth degree.

It’s too bad that Pence doesn’t mention a most important truth about the January 6 “riot“. It stopped Republicans in both the House and the Senate from having 12 full hours in each body to make comments about election irregularities. Republicans in the House had even gotten organized so that two people were assigned to each two hour period for each battleground state. This testimony would’ve been heard live by the American people and been written into the Congressional record. Instead it never happened.

In every way the Democrats won by having the incursion. Who instigated the incursion? Never before had Trump supporting MAGA voters done illegal things much less violent ones connected to a Trump speech.

There were two separate Jan 6th events at the Capitol:

1. A peaceful protest by Trump supporting patriots.

2. A riot perpetrated by FBI agents and their informants.

The peaceful protest by about 200,000 Trump supporters is simply never mentioned when discussing January 6, not even by people supposedly on our side. Most Americans have no idea that anything happened that day except a Trump speech and a riot at the Capitol. They also do not know that the vast majority of the people at the Capitol just calmly walked through the rotunda and then left.

January 6th ($20,000 of damage and the only people killed were Trump supporters) was an “insurrection,” but the 500+ Antifa/BLM riots that caused more than $2,000,000,000 of damage and saw multiple business owners kicked to death trying to protect their property were “mostly-peaceful protests.”

They don’t believe this any more than we do, but a lie is the truth when you pretend it is.

Never give up the con.

What about rubber stamping the (obvious) election fraud?

Is that a power grab or maybe playing a part in a coup?
