“How about it only takes a 40% vote to delete a law”
I’m TOTALLY down with that struggle....
1. A supermajority of no less than 60% of both Houses of Congress is required to enact any new piece of legislation.
2. A submajority of no more than 40% of either House of Congress is sufficient to remove an existing piece of legislation.
3. All legislation shall have a sunset of no greater than three years. Prior to its sunset, the legislation must be re-voted.
So. If a GOP Congress and Administration enact a law that say, says a picture ID is required to vote you’d be happy that the next minority Democrat Congress and Senate session could take their 40% and get rid of that law?
