President Joe Biden has pledged to nominate the first black woman to the Supreme Court, but he seems to have forgotten about the time he filibustered a black woman judge’s nomination to America’s second-highest court for two years.
Way back in 2003 through 2005, when Joe Biden was still a Democrat senator from Delaware, President George W. Bush nominated Janice Rogers Brown to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, but due to her conservative views, Joe Biden and the Democrats filibustered her nomination, blocking a final vote on her confirmation. Bush nominated Brown for the District of Columbia Circuit in 2003 after she served as a justice on the California Supreme Court since 1996; she did not get confirmed until June 8, 2005. Newsweek provided more background on her conservative legal views:

That's Racist! (or something)
Ditto.
Tagline.
I remember it like yesterday- I had started listening to Rush the year before, and when Clarence Thomas’ confirmation hearings started, I was schooled on Democrat political tactics by the Senate Judiciary Committee, along with Rush’s commentary. That episode in American politics helped cement my political beliefs. I have despised Joe Biden ever since than.
Before I started listening to Rush, I didn’t know liberal from conservative from a hole in the ground. I always WAS conservative, I just didn’t know it.
Thanks Rush. RIP….
I wonder if Jo Jo the Pedophile Clown even has a memory of who Janice Rogers Brown was. He’s a wimpy bastard. Somebody needs to remind him who she was. Maybe show his clown ass a picture of the first black woman he filibustered to prevent her from being on the Supreme Court back in the days when he didn’t love black women.
“Brown is considered a libertarian.
Her political beliefs have been expressed in speeches, notably one delivered to the University of Chicago Law School Federalist Society in 2000. Brown’s speech cited Ayn Rand and lamented the triumph of “the collectivist impulse” in which capitalism receives “contemptuous tolerance but only for its capacity to feed the insatiable maw of socialism.”
Brown argued that “where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates, and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies” and suggested that the ultimate result for the United States has been a “debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible.””
He remembers. That’s why he is planning to nominate Brown Jackson, to cause confusion with Rogers Brown.
Should have gone with my instincts.
Joe Biden and Ted Kennedy started the nastiness of confirmation hearings.
Did he call her an Aunt Tom?
The issue is never race. The issue is always the revolution.
The Democrats will expect blacks to bow and worship them after they put black woman on the court , Oh and vote for them again ,LOL
This is how we need to hit back at him. The “racism” ploy is weak.
I’ll believe that when he renounces abortion on demand.
He did some new works, alright. But which of them can be characterized as “good”?
I think Biden has been a disaster. He’s been two-faced on every issue and his past still finds ways to catch up to him. I find it ironic that “woke” President Biden acts like he trying to cancel or memory-hole racist Senator Biden. He wants to be remembered as the President who appointed a black, female Supreme Court justice and not the Senator who withheld another black woman from an appellate justice seat.
I just realized Poopy Pants is such a racist. I’ve never seen sniff back women or children.
Joe Biden hates black people."
Some of us remember what the racist prick did during the Clarence Thomas confirmation.
There is so much that Joe doesn’t remember.
However, one has to understand that Joe is trying to prop up the Democrats support from the Black voter demographic.
When Joe was against the conservative Black Judge that Bush nominated, one has to understand that Democrats do not consider Conservative Blacks as “Black.”
Anyone remember how the Black Caucus did not allow Black Conservative members of the House of Representatives to join? Anyone remember how Black Cabinet members during appointment hearings were rejected and labeled as “Oreo’s?”
Anyone remember how Justice Thomas nomination was almost derailed?
While Joe opposed the nominated Janice Rogers Brown to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, it was because she was not the right kind of “Black justice.”
