What moral values “changed”? To what degree did they not change, but the differences between the candidates were not great enough to matter, so other values where significant differences that did exist rose in importance?
Oh, no reporting at all of the details of what values were studied, what alternative hypotheses were considered, tested?

I admit I scanned the article hastily, but I did not see one specific example of how Republicans changed their moral views to accommodate Trump. But remember how feminists said they would get on their “kneepads” to support Clinton despite his flagrant womanizing?
I HAVE NOT changed my moral beliefs. I HAVE changed my political beliefs. I no longer believe most Republicans are different than Dims. I actually have LESS trust in Republican politicians as a group. I always knew who the Dims were. My job as a voter is to choose the best candidate available at the time I vote.
No, I chose Donald Trump because he aligned with my moral values, and personal beliefs.
Trump policies have ALWAYS BEEN the Republican base beliefs HOWEVER the Republican SWAMP creatures decided OUR beliefs didn’t matter anymore and THAT is why Trump is a force not to be messed with!! THAT is WHY he must be destroyed by BOTH parties!
Good point about black voters. And I see many, many Catholic voters modifying their views on homosexuality and abortion to bring them into alignment with Democrat Party positions. Exhibit A and B: Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi.
