CNN President Jeff Zucker announced to his staff Wednesday morning that he is resigning immediately from his role at the cable news network, which he has led since January 2013.
Zucker said in a statement that his decision stemmed from him not disclosing a “consensual relationship” with his “closest colleague” when it first began.
“I certainly wish my tenure here had ended differently,” he wrote. “But it was an amazing run. And I loved every minute.”
Zucker oversaw all of WarnerMedia’s live programming, including all divisions of CNN and Turner Sports. That includes CNN, CNN International, HLN and CNN’s digital properties.

Sounds too convenient, too quick, and Zucker is making himself out to be some kind of hero ... sounds like he’s looking for a semi-valid excuse to run
that means either (a) Zucker knew he was about to be fired, or (b) there’s something worse brewing that he doesn’t want anyone to find out about
I’m going with (b) ... and predicting CNN will never investigate

I made the same point earlier. Seems like Zucker could have weathered this storm. It was a consensual relationship. Could be more to this behind the scenes.

According to a New York Times article dated sometime in 2012, Gollust was the executive vice president of corporate communications at NBC Universal when Jeff Zucker was its chief executive.
How did the Cuomo investigation jump to Zucker?
