No kidding. When my daughter was in 5th grade, she brought home a guinea pig from school. Found out later, the gp was pregnant, had babies. We kept a couple, gave away the rest. Before long, she had more babies...lol.
This type of hysteria gives into the “correlation means causation” wing of the junk science purveyors. Superstition, pure and simple.
It’s the same type of flawed reasoning that makes people wear completely ineffective masks during a pandemic in the hopes the virus will pass them over as a reward for their virtue signaling. .

Earth is 4.5 BILLION years old. During that time, it has climate changes galore. Global warming followed by ice age. Rinse and repeat. It is because the Sun is like MILLION times bigger than earth, and has cycles of activity. It is the sole source of external heat for earth.
And then humans are a million times SMALLER than earth. The astronauts circling earth at just over 100 miles high can’t see any man made objects during daytime.
What caused end of last ice age? Global warming! Were there any SUV’s or factory smoke-stacks or fire-places at that time? NO! Humans were still living in caves.
The same “experts” pushing the globull warming HOAX are the same “experts” pushing the covid-1984 HOAX.
About 1000 years ago, the Vikings sailed west and discovered a large island that was warm, lush and green.
They named it “Greenland”...which is now mostly ice covered.
CONCLUSION:
1. The SUV was in Greenland before the Vikings landed.
2, This is settled science.

Ever notice how science summaries such as this are full of government or globalist propaganda? Of course you have!
Most wild animal species are barely studied. You might be able to fill a book on a particular species, but very few of today’s scientists will test a lot of the ‘facts’ in those books and so they get baked into the cake of that body of knowledge. Things like certain “bird species mating for life” seems more of an assertion, that a provable fact. It may be mostly true, but there have to be exceptions. Maybe with modern tracking devices we are more likely to find those exceptional cases?
Yes they do and even more.
Inbreeding in animals has been naturally going on since life began. In farming it is known as “Inline” breeding.
As for penguins, I believe killer whales and sharks chowing down on penguins probably have more to do with the penguin “divorce” rate than glo-Bull Warming.
When government starts handing out billions of dollars to “study” climate change, hogs flock to the trough.
