I believe her. I know it’s easy to insult her. Feels good too. However, what she is saying is a real stratagem by the Left. They’ve already had some impact in certain parts of The Great State of Texas, and they plan to slowly grow their influence further out. This is also why you saw Beto O’Rourke somewhat backtrack from his ‘I will take your AR15’ speech. The backtracking will not help him become more electable (those for freedom will not vote for him, and those for gun control just became displeased), but it does show that the Left is really trying to get somewhere in Texas.
Sure - it may not happen this midterm cycle. It may not happen in 2024. But the strategy of turning Texas Blue is one that the Left is deadly serious about. They understand what it means.
So, as much as some want to mock her, I have to shockingly say that I believe her. The key question though is what can we do to make what she is saying not happen? We need to take politics seriously because not every president on their side will be like Biden.

What I always hear from welfare types that move to Texas is that it is much stingier and harder to get free stuff.

I doubt that this occasional Cortez has ever actually talked WITH a real Texan, though she talks AT people like us a lot. I doubt that she’s ever talked with many real Hispanics, either, for that matter. It must be loudly noted that her compatriot Beto, is just as incoherent. He yelled, loudly, during his failed run for the Democrat presidential nomination that he would “take your AR-15s and AK-47s away”. Now he assures us that he supports the 2nd amendment as he runs for Texas governor. Run Beto, run, and bring AoC along with you.
Why would the Democrats need to flip the country if they won in 2020?
Flip Texas (thru more cheating of course) and Texas will flip you back so hard you might just have to leave the country (think a new Caribbean home in G-Bay for AOC and her ilk)!

Texas has a LOT of new residents from other states, and they are still coming. The Dems know things have changed.

So there was a small trend in 2020 of Hispanics in south Texas towards the Republicans (mainly towards TRUMP, and the coattail candidates came along for the ride). Will that last? What about the Hispanics in the major metro areas of Texas — where was THEIR trend in 2020 “towards the Republicans”? Answer: there wasn’t one, so don’t lump all Texas Hispanics together as if they vote as one entity.
What about other trends in Texas — the ones the whistling-past-the-graveyard types don’t want to look at? Many formerly nice Republican suburban counties have either already gone Commie (Fort Bend, Williamson, Hays) or are about 1 election cycle away from doing so (Collin, Denton). Sorry, but that trend is not 100% explainable by “mUh vOtE fRaUd”. What’s happening in those large suburban areas dwarfs whatever minor changes happened in 2020 in or near the border counties.
My former CIC LBJ was no JFK or HST. I voted for Barry. LBJ was just a Democrat power hungry racist who pissed away American lives in SEA. He belongs at the bottom of the barrel with Obama, Carter and Biden. Got to give the Democrats credit, when it comes to hard ball politics, they are way ahead of the game. The Republicans are the little league players who are just participants. In the case of AOC, to intelligent cultured Hispanics she is a Jibara.

Fleshing out my thoughts on this,...getting in the door is the hard part. Post-Eisenhower, we’ve had presidents that rose quickly from a term in Congress to higher office. People like AOC and Stacey Abrams bear watching.
