You have plenty of fuel. Well, if you are lucky enough to afford it anyway.

If I’m the Ukes, I’m hitting the fuel trucks. Easy targets to torch, and without them, the convoy’s armored vehicles are easy targets once the thousands of 1 and 2 man anti-tank missiles arrive.

If the Russkis do have fuel, colder (to refreeze the ground) would be better for tanks, etc.

Patton’s 3rd army pulled off the bulge and relieved Bastogne in 1944/45 in a lot worse conditions than the weather now. With older cruder equipment. Ever ride in a deuce and a half? You move mechanized equipment with ground troops. The ground troops have a function too.
