Rumour has it, here in Canada, that “Wali” is tge holder of the 3450m world record.
But that was in the desert…
Snipers are always cool until one of the good guys gets shot
“... The Irgun did it to the British. Gandhi did it to the British. ....”
Worked here because the modern British don’t like to look bad!
It’s his life he’s putting on the line. Let him decide if it’s a just cause or not. If I were a skilled sniper instead of an old fart with two artificial hips, I might go there, Democrat crooks or no Democrat crooks, globalists or no globalists. I wish him good hunting.
I had one Canadian soldier in my store commenting that him and his buddies are chomping at the bit to go and fight against the Russians.
Does night vision equipment work for snipers? Throw in silencers and one can shoot all night.
That doesn’t take much. Just shoot the smugglers and coyotes as they appear, and scare off the poor shmucks they’re ferrying. Any Texan with a good rifle could do it.
Well, that might explain why the Boers couldn’t pull it off. Kitchener didn’t care how he looked, so long as he won.
Russia has announced that fighters from other nations will not be covered by the Geneva convention. That means that if the Russians decide to execute them when they’re captured, then they will be executed.
The West fights wars with ridiculous rules that hamper our winning. The Russians do not.
Good sniper can make kill shots out to over 1000yds. Look up ghillie suit pics to see popular type of camo. They will observe their target before shooting, sometimes for days to determine patterns of movement and behavior. Some construct a sniper hide, a pit dug and then covered with vegetation. Any movement in the open is done EXTREMELY slowly to avoid notice. Usually a piece of cloth is placed on the ground at the muzzle to prevent kicking up a visible dust cloud when firing. Suppressors are also sometimes used to conceal muzzle flash and their position.
You can possibly put that down as the turning point!
Jingo Bells
Jingo Bells
Jingo all the way.
Russia also has country boys raised around hunting too. And its own excellent snipers. It’s not as one sided as some may think.
Zaitsev got a lot of soldiers promoted.
Or ask his wife and infant son what THEY think about it.
I’m sure there’s another viewpoint not heard from.
Lol
“Pretty ironic considering what Vasily Zaitsev did to the Germans in WWII.”
As good as he was, he was a piker compared to Finland’s Simo Hayha.
“Snipers are creepy people. I couldn’t do it.”
They are incredibly disciplined. They will lay in concealment for hours on end, not moving, not flinching. A bug bites them? No reaction. Has to relieve himself? Does it then and there, in his pants.
Hey, Vlad: Same goes for the many foreign fighters Russia is utilizing.
