'NOT SURPRISED': Rand Paul Slams Republicans Who Voted To Keep Fauci But Impeach Trump
Daily Caller ^ | March 16 | Brianna Lyman

Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul slammed a group of five Republican senators who voted Tuesday against his amendment to remove Dr. Anthony Fauci but had once voted in favor of impeaching former President Donald Trump.

“I guess I’m not surprised that Republican senators who voted to get rid of Donald Trump voted to keep Anthony Fauci,” Paul said in an exclusive statement to the Daily Caller. “Disappointed but not surprised. I think if Republican voters in their home states learn of this vote to keep Anthony Fauci, these voters will be very unhappy.”

Republican Sens. Richard Burr of North Carolina, Susan Collins of Maine, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah and Jerry Moran of Kansas all voted against the amendment.

The same group of senators also voted to convict Trump, with the exception of Moran, who criticized the former president but said he would not vote to convict Trump because it could establish a dangerous precedent.

I so regret voting for that traitorous SOB in 2012

I learned my lesson in 2008.

I haven’t left the GOP as a whole but no longer give my money to them. I only fund those who share my views and stand for the truth and the Constitution.

Do you think our Neocon cheerleaders understand this?

They are hastening it. They've positioned themselves to float on top, sorta like you know what.

I’m sorry that so many on FR were angry that I did NOT vote for him!

ditto here
I was ridiculed for being a Ron Paul supporter

Romney showed his colors as governor... he could never get my support as president

Romney showed his colors , to me, as a Mormon.

I was NOT going to give my vote to a man who's very life was centered around a belief system that I find to be wrong.

Too many would be fooled by a man (or woman!) in the position of Leader of the Free World giving authenticity to a provably false religion; thereby perhaps causing THEM to make a bad judgement on which religion to follow.

Yep, me too. Wait till the midterms, that’s going to make it even more outrageously obvious we no longer have the right to vote. People are going to merely be assigned to offices that gives Biden and the Rat/RINO uniparty the most power

Folks are taking bribes. There is no other explanation for that.

Rand Paul is really consistent and says it like it is. We need more like him.

At your age, I’m sure you are aware that Florida is a closed primary State which begs questions, do you fear election fraud and a no win situation?

Are you throwing in the towel?

Is Florida a red State that is unusual in that primary elections don’t matter?

Is there something I am not seeing?

I am confused as to the motivation for registering independent before a primary election takes place?

IMHO there aren’t many “good” reasons for that action. It’s usually a protest action by Republicans p’od at the party. That action has election consequences when enough people choose that course.

If I invaded your privacy I’ll apologize in advance, but you brought it up.

All that said I could have made the post benign by asking only question number five, but that would not have gotten to the root IMO. We certainly live in interesting times.
