We are disappointed that the Biden administration granted exclusions to the 301 tariffs on many Chinese products that have alternatives that are made or could be made right here in America,
Just what we don’t need: food products from China.

I looked at some of these. No reason for removal of the tariffs for the plastic childrens toys.
I saw 2 Metals, a number of electronics components including electrical transformer and electric motors (Which we do not make in large amounts anymore) and a number of chemicals that we probably also do not make.
I can understand why they were removed on things like these that we probably cant produce here.
I also saw a lot of Face Masks. (I wonder what these are for?)

China has learned how to use media, leverage their expats, lobbying groups, campaign contributions through their US based firms (not foreign), to cast a wide net (target various folks in government and not all eggs in one basket).
They know they don’t need to pay everyone, just certain folks in key positions and to have patience. If you don’t like things the way they are, massage them and wait.
