Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark Milley downplayed the effect of kicking out troops from the military for not complying with the Biden administration’s military vaccine mandate, even amid threats from China and Russia and recruiting difficulties in the Army.
Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN), a Navy veteran, asked Milley Tuesday at a House Armed Services Committee hearing if it was worth sacrificing the military’s total number of troops for vaccine mandates.

My unit just had a useless info session on this stuff last month. Useless, they don't know anything about the logistics or what's happening with kicking people out besides the official date is July 1st. Texas won;t kick you out, but federal pay stops for drills and AT and so on, so once you go awol for so many days (whether you show up or not, you don't get paid so you're counted as awol) you get kicked out for skipping too many drill days.
But no info on what kind of discharge, nothing on how it's working, etc. No details on whether exemption requests are officially denied, or if they're just sitting there forgotten. What happens to those of us still waiting for exemption decision. What happens to those who ETS in the meantime. And so on.
BUT, current numbers place our squadron at losing 35% of our manpower. Absolutely stupid.
